Gloster

Gloster is a true winter apple with excellent storage durability.

Of all our apple varieties, Gloster is harvested last, from mid to late October. In some years, snow has even arrived before the Gloster harvest has been fully completed (as in the picture). Gloster develops a red covering color with a green to yellow background.

Gloster has firm and crisp flesh. Its thin skin makes it pleasant to eat. Despite the fruit’s low acidity, the taste is very fresh, which makes the apple well-suited as a snack.

Domestic apples soften quickly at room temperature. Therefore, the fruit is best stored at home in the refrigerator at a temperature of +2–4 degrees.
