One of Åland’s oldest and largest apple orchards.
Already in the 1940s, Carl Granlid founded the business on Vårdö – a place that today is well known for its apples. Since 2021, the orchard has been carried on by the fourth generation of the Granlid family, with the same commitment to quality and tradition, but also with an eye toward the future.

On our 20 hectares, we grow apples with a long-term strategy where modern technology meets sustainable methods. We continuously invest in smart storage solutions, such as ULO storage (Ultra Low Oxygen), which extends shelf life and preserves flavor. Our cultivation philosophy is built on caring for the soil and the trees – through organic matter, biological pest control, and mechanical weeding, we ensure that nature remains in balance.
Granlid is not just a product, but an entire orchard with a living heritage. We sell our apples both directly and through various retailers. For us, the apple is more than a fruit – it is part of our history, our future, and our contribution to sustainable food production.
